Mother's Day 2012 Digital Creation

Mother's Day is tomorrow and I have decided to make something special for my mom. I wanted to give her something new in place of a store bought card. So I decided to make a page in Photoshop.

I don't know exactly what to call it. It is similar to a card, but not so I just call it a digital creation. And to top it off, I included an Abraham Lincoln quote, "All that I am, or hope to be, I owe to my angel mother." Doesn't that just tug at your heart? Hopefully my mom feel this way when she sees this.

My First Layout Featuring My Nephew!

After my last post where I spoke on my nervousness about creating my first layout, I received some kind words from a fellow blogger, Kiana @ ScrapNFitz. She encouraged me to finally create a digi-scrap layout featuring my 6 month old nephew, Brayden. That little nudge gave me the confidence I needed. Practice, Practice, Practice - Background!

It has been a year since I have started playing around with Photoshop. I never seem to run out of things do with it! I started off trying to digi-scrapbook, but I was a little nervous after looking at other people’s work. I felt like I wasn’t creative enough. Silly, right? But recently I have started experimenting with making blog backgrounds and other little projects. Maybe after I gain a little more confidence, I will try scrapbooking again. But for now take a look at my recently created background. I downloaded a few pieces from a couple of different sites and threw this together together. Like it?
